The MBA scholarship program is a true benefit to membership. This program is guided by the MBA Board of Directors to promote and support our members who aspire to higher education. This year, the Board voted to expand scholarship eligibility criteria to bring this benefit to more members.
Eligible applicants are unmarried dependent children of MBA members under the age of 26. The scholarships are also available to dependent spouses of MBA members, spouse members of MBA, National Guard and Ready Reserve MBA members, and Veteran members who separate from the service before the application cut-off date. Applicants must have a high school degree or GED and plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school by fall of the year in which the award is granted (2017). Current full-time undergraduate students enrolled in an accredited school are also eligible to apply. Applicants must maintain a 2.5 or higher cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent. Up to twenty-four (24) $3,000 scholarships will be awarded in 2017.
Interested applicants must complete and submit their application with current entire official transcripts of grades. The application must be postmarked by February 28, 2017. The applicant must gather and submit all necessary information and answer all questions thoroughly.
